What is application ?

In many cases, we call programs called "hardware" such as personal computers and smartphones to make them work as software, including OS such as Windows and Android etc.

On the other hand, the application can be said to be software for applying (= application) to work and various things actually used by users such as Word, Excel, LINE etc.
